Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge # 1152 A.F. & A.M., was chartered on December 09, 1921, by The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas A.F.& A.M , and held their first meeting on December 31 of that year.
Billie Mosse Lodge was named in honor of William Turner “Billie” Mosse

The lodge originally met in the building of Lone Star Masonic Lodge # 403 A.F. & A.M., located in Downtown Denison. The members of Billie Mosse Lodge decided to build their own building, and relocated the Lodge to the present location on South Austin Avenue.
The cornerstone for the current Lodge Building was laid on November 8, 1969. Grand Master J. Guy Smith, and Past Grand Master Claude Austin, as well as District Deputy Grand Master Horace Groff were on hand for the ceremony.
Billie Mosse Lodge is active in the Denison Community in a number of
ways. By providing college scholarships to graduating seniors, by honoring educators with the Mirabeau B. Lamar Award of Excellence, and by honoring citizens who make a difference with the Community Builder Award.
One of the highlights of each year at Billie Mosse Lodge is the annual barbecue fundraiser that helps fund the scholarship program and other activities.
Billie Mosses Lodge is also home to Gate City Chapter # 77, Order of the Eastern Star. Gate City Chapter was chartered on October 10, 1888.
